One of the most treasured objects held by Brisbane’s grand Masonic Lodge (No. 289) in Ann Street is the apron regalia once worn by ‘the late Bro. Air Commodore Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, Kt., AFC, MC’. This was presented to the United Grand Lodge of Queensland in 1945 by his brother, William, on behalf of Charles’s family.
